Christmas Kindness

Thank you everybody in Long Ashton - you were so generous in donating Christmas goodies and money so that we could put together gift packs for some of our residents who might be spending Christmas on their own.  Donations of goods can no longer be accepted and the packages are being delivered during Christmas week.

Thank you !!!

Long Ashton Remembered

Remembrance Sunday was different for all of us this year, but we're proud that Long Ashton residents young and old found new ways to mark the occasion and show our respect.  Some more examples of how our community remembered those that have died in conflict, including the 97 parishioners of Long Ashton and Leigh Woods who have lost their lives in service of their country since 1914, can be found here.

Work is underway to build a new Memorial at the corner of Long Ashton Road and Theynes Croft.  You can find out more via this link.

Poppy Pebbles

We couldn't mark Remembrance Sunday in the normal way this year, but Long Ashton Brownies and some of our residents decorated pebbles and placed them at the Polish Memorial in the church yard and a number of residents posted poppies and messages in their windows to show their respect.

Scary Long Ashton

37 families decorated their houses and gardens to create a Halloween Trail as trick or treating was out this year.  Despite some horrible weather the trail was a great success.  Huge thanks to everybody that took part.  Read more about it and see some pictures here.

Well Done Phred!!!

Congratulations and massive thanks to Phred Steer, who completed the Exmoor Trail to challenge himself and raise awareness for local community groups including LA Together.

Apples In The Rain at the Village Market

It was lovely to meet some of you at the LA Village Market in October.  We were shivering outside in the rain, but managed to meet lots of our lovely residents who generously donated to our funds and took away some local produce from our gardens.

The Market will be back in the Spring and we look forward to meeting lots more of you then.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

Our first LA Together event - a socially distanced outdoor coffee morning organised with the support of the LA Cafe and with cake donations from our lovely residents raised a stunning £560.

We love events and we can't wait to organise lots more with your help and support.  Thanks to everybody that supported us and came along.
